A wonderful, exciting introduction to the world of performing arts for small children, in a caring, nurturing and encouraging environment.
During each one and a half hour class children will create drama, movement, singing and dance through various explored themes including:
Castles, Knights, Princesses and Dragons; The Circus, Circus Acts and Clowns;
The Sea, Sea Creatures, Ships and Pirates;
Fantasy, Legends, Myths, Magic & Fairies;
Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales;
Nature, Trees and Flowers, Animals and Birds
Our Planet, Our World, Recycling Superhero's!
Children will also explore music and rhythm through movement and the use of percussion instruments, including: jingle bells, drums, rhythm sticks, shakers, tambourines and triangles.
On selected weeks there will be costumes and dressing up, face painting, mask making and other fun and creative special sessions, all aimed at giving your child the best all-round introduction to all things theatrical !
There will be a presentation of the children's work for family and friends at the last session of each term.
And for Parents .. the Trestle Café will be open during the class so parents wishing to stay in the building can enjoy a nice cuppa in the lovely environment of Trestle Arts Base!
